The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has set up the EFCC Integrity Club at the Government Secondary School, Jakusko, Yobe State, and reiterated the need for Nigerian youths to have a zero tolerance for all forms of corrupt practices.
Magu gave this charge during a sensitization tour of the School, and the NYSC State Secretariat Damaturu, Yobe State, December 3 and 4, 2018.
Represented by Jamilu Sale, Head, EFCC Public Affairs and Rowaiye Abiodun, an operative with the Advance Fee Fraud Unit, Maiduguri Zonal office of the EFCC, he stressed that the Commission will not spare anyone found culpable, in any fraudulent deal.
โYouth corp members should continue with the good work of enlightening and re-orienting the students and the general public as part of their Contribution towards the fight against corruption in Damaturu and the country at large,โ he said.
He charged them to be agents of change and to reach out and sensitize the general public to be wary of fake contract documents in circulation within the state and to involve primary school pupils in the sensitization progarmme.
โThe fight against corruption and economic sabotage is a duty of all youths and you must be agents of change in your area of primary assignment,โ he said.
The Zonal Inspector of NYSC Yobe state, Idris Jubrin Gala, appreciated the efforts and supports of the Commission.
Gala urged the corps members to continue and maintain the tempo of being the best CDS group out of all the existing ones. He encourage them to build inter-personal skills in order to become self reliant.
