A man admitted to having sex with his pre-teen sister because his culture does not view such behavior as wrong, according to police in Oregon.
Portland police said that they have arrested 31-year-old Fong Lee after being caught on an Amtrak station with $35,000 in cash and a stash of child porn.
Lee was charged with money laundering and encouraging child sex abuse.
Lee’s cousin, 26-year-old Ying Moua, was charged with money laundering after police found another $35,000 in cash in his bag.
Both suspects were booked into the Multnomah County Jail.
According to the police investigation, officers were conducting random drug checks at the Amtrak station at the Union Station located at 800 N.W. Sixth Ave.
Lee and Moua allowed officers to search their bags in which officers found $70,000 in cash.
The suspects told police that they planned to use the cash to purchase marijuana in California and sell the drug in Minnesota.
They admitted to doing this several times.
Lee then told police that he had electronic devices containing child porn showing victims as young as 5-year-old having sex.
He also admitted to having sex with his 12-year-old sister because his culture does not view adults having sex with children as wrong.
