A woman flew into a rage upon learning that a man did not love her despite the fact that she loved him, according to police in Alabama.
Cullman police said that they have arrested 24-year-old Barbara Emily Lowery, after being accused of smashing the car windshield of Nick Myrick.
Lowery has been charged with disorderly conduct. If Myrick presses charges against the woman, she will face an additional charge of criminal mischief.
A judge has ordered Lowery to stay away from the shopping mall where the incident occurred or face a trespassing charge.
According to the police investigation, Lowery was in love with Myrick, but he did not know it. On the day of the incident, Lowery said that she prayed and thought a lot about destroying Myrickโs car.
When she decided that it was not a good idea, she saw a shovel, grabbed it and hit the windshield. She then got onto the hood of the car and began stomping on the windshield until it was shattered.
The incident unfolded in the parking lot of a shopping mall where Myrick worked. Witnesses at the scene recorded the attack and uploaded the videos to social media sites.
Scott Sams, who owns a car repair shop, witnessed the attack and offered to pay for a new windshield.
Myrick said that he was very happy with the repair as the car belonged to his late father who inherited it from his grandfather.
