A mother beat cancer during pregnancy only to lose her life one day after giving birth to twins.
30-year-old Jamie Snider of Fresno, California, had been battling cervical cancer a few years ago, and she lost an ovary in the process.
Snider, who was already a mother of two girls Aubrey and Maddy, did not believe she can get pregnant again. However, to her surprise, she became pregnant with twins, a girl and a boy.
During her pregnancy, Snider learned that her cancer had returned. She underwent treatment and chemotherapy for a rare, aggressive form of cancer, and she went into remission once again.
Her babies were not affected by the treatment. At 33 weeks of pregnancy, doctors decided it was time to deliver the babies and she was scheduled for a Cesarean section.
Snider was looking forward to welcoming her twins into the world. She posted a photo of herself smiling to Facebook with the message:
โTomorrow will be a great day. God has been by my side the whole time. All your prayers and love have kept me going as well. Wish me luck. I’m having a C-section at 7 and then a hysterectomy right after. I’ll be fine. Thank you, God, for keeping me positive through all the hard times.โ
Snider got to hold her babies after she gave birth. She spent some time with the twins whom she named Camila and Nico.
Sadly, the next day, her heart failed and the mother of four died.
According to the โCoigny family twins expensesโ GoFundMe page, the babies will be cared for by their father, Heath Coigny, who is understandably heartbroken of the loss of his beloved partner.
