The 28-year-old star is currently on a lengthy world tour but admitted it could be the last time she hits the road to perform.
According to the New Zealand Herald, she told fans at her concert at Aucklandโs Mount Smart Stadium: โTouring isnโt something Iโm good at โ applause makes me feel a bit vulnerable. I donโt know if I will ever tour again.
โThe only reason Iโve toured is you. Iโm not sure if touring is my bag. My greatest accomplishment in my career is this tour.โ
Despite being one of the best-selling artists of all time, Adele previously admitted she still suffers from stage fright.
The singer-songwriter confessed in 2015 that she was finding it harder to perform on stage and was โtoo frightened to try anything newโ.
She shared: โI get so nervous with live performances that Iโm too frightened to try anything new.
โItโs actually getting worse. Or itโs just not getting better, so I feel like itโs getting worse, because it shouldโve gotten better by now.โ
The record-breaking star revealed she was petrified of letting her fans down.
Adele added: โWith my stage fright, I just donโt want to let people down. I get so nervous onstage that I donโt have the guts to improvise or anything like that.โ
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Adele broke records in every city she visited during her eight-concert Australian leg of the world tour.
The โHelloโ hitmaker sold as many as 600,000 tickets during her record-breaking tour Down Under, which included the biggest single concert ever held on Australian soil in Sydneyโs ANZ stadium, where she performed in front of 100,000 people.
Tour promoter Michael Coppel told the Daily Telegraph newspaper in Australia: โItโs the highest-selling tour Iโve ever been involved with, which is quite remarkable after working with Pink and U2 and Fleetwood Mac and Roger Waters.โ
And Michael suggested Adeleโs achievement may never be repeated.
He said: โWe may never see her again.โ
Adeleโs show in Perth, Western Australia, was the quickest-selling event in Domain Stadiumโs history, while her gig at the Adelaide Oval beat the stadiumโs highest audience attendance record.
In Brisbane, meanwhile, Adeleโs two concerts attracted a combined crowd of 120,000 โ which is a record for music events in the city.
The London-born star also performed in front of 75,000 fans at Etihad Stadium in Melbour
