A man drove his pickup truck on top of another vehicle and he was not arrested after he told police he did so to defend his family.
Police were called to the scene in Ocala, Florida, where the pickup truck was sitting on top of the car.
Police learned that Adalberto Aponte, 53, who was driving a Toyota, got into a verbal dispute with Zach Waring, 18, who drove a pickup truck during a road rage incident.
The teenager had his wife, baby and his friend in the pickup truck at the time of the incident.
According to witnesses, Aponte got out of his car and punched the teenager several times, breaking his sunglasses.
The teenage driverโs passenger, Taylor Rich, 20, tried to scare off Aponte by telling him that there was a gun in the truck.
According to police, this backfired ,when Aponte said โI’ll show you a real gun.โ
As Aponte went to his car, the teenage driver tried to stop him from taking his gun by reversing his truck and landing on top of the car.
Police said that the driver’s license of Aponte, had been suspended for failure to pay child support.
Aponte was arrested despite the fact that he denied striking Waring.
Aponte faces charges including battery, driving while license was suspended or revoked and criminal mischief.
The married teenager was not arrested.
