A woman was rushed to hospital after being bitten by a crocodile while trying to take a selfie with it, according to police in Thailand.
Nakhon Ratchasima police said that the incident unfolded at the Khao Yai national park.
The 41-year-old woman of France, was visiting the country along with her husband. The couple were touring the park when they broke away from a group and walked in an area that is infested with crocodiles.
Police said that the couple ignored signs, warning visitors to stay away from the swamps. When the woman noticed a crocodile resting in a swam, she bent down and tried to take a selfie with it.
While she was trying to get a good angle, the crocodile attacked her and clamped down on her thigh. Luckily, the crocodile quickly let go of the woman.
The woman was rushed to the hospital, where she is said to be in stable condition.
