| Ronan and Storm Keating have announced they are expecting their first child |
The 39-year-old pop star and the 35-year-old fashion designer have confirmed they are delighted to be preparing for the birth of their child, with Storm revealing she recently passed on an alcoholic beverage because she has known of her pregnancy since August.
In a statement on her blog, Storm explained: โOn the 17th August in 2010, my husband and I became friends. On the same day five years later we became husband and wife.
โWeโre now very excited to announce that a year later (and again to the exact date) we became parents-to-be!! And so THATโS why I passed on the mulled wine. (sic)โ
Storm said that the news has come as an early Christmas present for her and her husband, who also has three children โ Jack, 17, Marie, 15, and Ali, 11 โ with his first wife Yvonne Connolly.
Storm said: โWords cannot describe how overwhelmed with happiness we are. We feel so blessed to be adding another little Keating to the family and this news is like all of our Christmas wishes coming true.
โThis Christmas weโll just be asking Santa to keep our baby safe and to spread some extra happiness and joy to you and all your families also.โ
Meanwhile, Storm โ who married the Boyzone singer at the Archerfield House in East Lothian, Scotland, last year โ also promised to keep fans up to date with her pregnancy through her personal blog.
She wrote: โPS: I already have so much blog content to share to other mothers and mothers-to-beโฆ
โHilarious stories, the reality of pregnancy and navigating through the endless range of nasty products to avoid when you have a little bub in your tummy etc. So much to share!! (sic)โ
