Man rapes pregnant girlfriend before killing her by stomping on her head in front of her four children

A man was arrested on a charge of murder after being accused of killing his girlfriend in front of her four children, according to police in New York.

Now, 39-year-old Michael Donyell Norwood of Amsterdam, is facing up to life in prison after pleading guilty to one count of second-degree murder in connection with the killing of his girlfriend, 30-year-old Beth Ann Logan.

According to the police investigation, Norwood raped Logan in her apartment one night. He then stomped on her head and body while wearing work boots.

All of her four children, who are between 9 and 13 years old, witnessed the attack. Logan died at a hospital five days after the attack.

Logan was 13 weeks pregnant at the time of the attack. The fetus did not survive.
