Police are investigating a freak accident in Australia, after two people were left trapped under a car.
Police said that a woman and her teenage son are in critical condition after being run over by a car while standing in their driveway.
Police in Brisbane, said that the womanโs husband was trying to reverse his SUV on Vanda Street in Woolloongabba, at around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
However, he accidentally accelerated, and ran over his 50-year-old wife and 14-year-old son. The woman was trapped underneath the vehicle for quite sometime.
Fire crews used high pressure bags to lift the car so they can remove her. The woman was revived at the scene before she was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, where she remains in a critical but stable condition.
The teenager was airlifted to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, where he is said to be in critical condition. The police forensics unit is investigating the accident.
