Rescuers in Australia, were called to free a cat from a bathroom floor drain after the house pet stuck its head into it.
The Cessnock District Rescue Squad said that early on Sunday morning, members Doug and Paul responded to a call for assistance from a person whose pet cat had got its head stuck in the bathroom floor drain.
Kiba the cat became stuck after some kind of investigation into the drain went wrong.
The volunteers managed to remove the drainage socket from the tiles to make it easier and more comfortable for the cat, and then removed the plastic from Kiba’s head.
They did this using the tools from the finger kit, which is used in situations for ring removals, fingers stuck in drains, and now cats stuck in drains.
Kiba the cat was then returned safely to its owner.
On Facebook, Kibaโs owner Chris Threadgate wrote: โSeriously thank you again guys. We wouldn’t have been able to get him out if it wasn’t for your amazing work.โ
