Police in Florida, said that a young boy melted their hearts by inviting them over for Thanksgiving dinner.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) said that Billy Nolin, called 911 on Thursday afternoon, to invite WCSO staff and deputies to come eat Thanksgiving dinner with him and his family.

“With all the bad calls we take on a daily basis, this one was a welcomed happy call that made all of us smile,” said Lead Communications Officer Monica Webster.

The boy was paid a special visit by Deputy Damon Byrd and Deputy Aaron Ethridge, who gave him a special Sheriff’s Badge and even allowed him to sit in their patrol cars.

“While we do not encourage this use of 911, we are so honored at the invitation. Thank you Billy for making all of our days here at WCSO,” the Walton County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook.

Billy’s mother Landi McCormick, said that the boy made the call while she was preparing Thanksgiving dinner. The boy’s grandfather said that he saw the child talking with someone on an old cellphone before police arrived at the scene.

McCormick confronted Billy, and he admitted calling 911. Billy began to cry when he saw the police officers outside his house.
