Police in Australia, took a young child into custody after he was abandoned by a couple.
Police said that they have arrested a woman and they are still
looking for a man after he and the woman abandoned the two-year-old boy in Mandurah, in order to evade the police.
Officer attempted to stop Edward Walley, 34, and Anain Victoria Whitehead, 30, after they saw the couple riding a bicycle on Forrest Street with a child.
However, the two ran away and left the 2-year-old boy behind.
Whitehead was arrested shortly afterwards. The man however, is still in the run.
Police will not release the details of the relationship between the adults and the child. The boy is being cared for by the state.
Police said that they wanted to speak to the couple in connection to an investigation into a number of burglary and theft incidents in the area.
