Actress Lindsay Lohan reportedly sliced off a piece of her left ring finger in a gruesome accident while boating in Turkey.
The injury occurred Sunday when the 30-year-old star got tangled with the vessel’s anchor as she attempted to lift it up, TMZ reports.
The tip of her digit was cut off by the heavy anchor at some point during the scary ordeal. Lohan was dragged into the water before she managed to untangle herself, according to the celebrity gossip site.
Her friends reportedly located the torn-off portion of the finger on the deck of the boat, and they quickly rushed her to hospital once she got back onboard.
A surgeon managed to reattach her finger and the “Mean Girls” star addressed the incident with a Snapchat video of her heavily bandaged hand.
“This is the result of me trying to help anchor the boat by myself,” she said in the short clip, which showed her ring finger completely wrapped up. “My poor finger.”
She offered further details in the video’s caption.
“I almost lost my finger from the anchor. Well, I lost half my finger. Thank goodness we found the piece of my finger… I just had surgery to fix it,” she wrote. “It hurts so bad.”
It’s been a whirlwind few months for Lohan, who was spotted screaming at her fiancé Egor Tarabasov and claiming he tried to kill her in a video published by The Sun in July.
The actress who also blasted Tarabasov in a social media rant that same week then fled to Sardinia, Italy, where she was frequently spotted boating with friends in the subsequent days. Photos later emerged that showed Tarabasov twisting Lohan’s arm behind her back on the beach in Mykonos, Greece.
Tarabosov has denied all abuse allegations.
There’s been no official confirmation as to whether Lohan is still engaged to Tarabasov, though she posted an Instagram photo of herself in lingerie last month using the hashtags #noboyfriend and #stillneedimsorry.
