Police are looking to arrest a woman on a charge of assault after allegedly slapping strangers across the face, according to the police in the United Kingdom.
Isle of Wight police said that the incident unfolded in Newport High Street around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, when the mall was packed with shoppers.
The woman, who was not identified, ran up to a woman with a shoe in her hand and slapped her across the face. The victim was shopping with a man.
When they tried to confront the suspect, she quickly ran away.
Moments later, the suspect approached a man and slapped him with the shoe. She then ran towards Yates and was not seen again.
Investigators said that the attack was unprovoked. Police urged witnesses to come forward.
