A teen known as “man man” was arrested on a charge of endangering the welfare of a minor after allegedly giving a lit marijuana joint to a young nephew, according to police in Arkansas.
Little Rock police said that they have arrested 17-year-old Lamel Lamont Yancy, after recording himself smoking marijuana along with a 3-year-old boy.
In court, Yancy pleaded not guilty to one count of endangering the welfare of a minor. He was booked in the Pulaski County jail, and his bail was set at $2,500.
According to the police investigation, Yancy was seen sitting in a car along with his 3-year-old nephew in the 4000 block of East Broadway outside a Metro PCS store.
The child, who was wearing just a diaper, was unrestrained in the back seat of the car. Yancy proceeded to ask the child if he wanted to smoke marijuana.
He then handed the child the marijuana joint and he put it in his mouth. At some point, the child’s mother got into the back seat and objected to the boy smoking marijuana.
Yancy then told the child that he will allow him to smoke marijuana at a later time. The Arkansas Department of Human Services took the child to a hospital for a hair follicle analysis.
Investigators believe that Yancy smoked marijuana with the child multiple times.
