Maybe the US government is right to be suspicious of Huawei. There seem to some hidden features in their smartphones that they aren’t telling us about, like the fact that they are bulletproof.
Which was a lucky surprise for one South African businessman who was shot in the chest at close range during an armed robbery outside of his home in Cape Town in late August, only to have the 9mm bullet bounce off his Huawei P8 Lite smartphone stored in his jacket pocket.
While the two masked men still made off with 130 yuan in cash from 41-year-old Siraaj Abraham, they didn’t take his life. And it’s all thanks to Huawei!
After the shooting, Abraham was rushed to the hospital and was found to be in good condition. Unfortunately, you can’t say the same thing about his smartphone. The bullet, fired from two meters away, totally destroyed the heroic mobile device. It didn’t even make it to the hospital.
But Huawei itself came to the rescue, giving Abraham a brand-new Huawei P9 Lite, just in case he ran into any more trouble on the street,
While Apple’s new iPhone 7 may resist water and dust, how does it fare against bullets?
