Three Nigeria athletes at the ongoing Rio de Janeiro Olympic made games records which will forever be remember in the history of Rio Olympics for years to come.
The trio records makers are two table tennis stars, Segun Toriola and Aruna Quadri as well as Rower, Chierika Ukogu.
Toriola, 41, made his 7th appearance in the current Games, equaling the table tennis record which made him the most capped African Olympian in the history of tennis.
Nigeria table tennis star Aruna Quadri set another continental record after the Oyo born player became the first African to reach the quarterfinals of menโs singles event at Rio 2016 Olympic Games before crashing out after suffering a 4-0 defeat to Chinaโs star and world number one Ma Long, in the Menโs Singles category.
Ukogu however, became the first ever rower to represent Nigeria in the Olympics after qualifying for top classifications in the rowing even in Rio, placing fifth in the third quarter final of the Womenโs single sculls after clocking a time of 7:54.44 secs.
