An elderly man spotted walking out of a South Yarmouth, Mass., home Thursday turned out to be an armed drug dealer trying to elude investigators, police say.

Shaun Miller, 31, of Hyannis, was arrested Thursday and was held pending a hearing in U.S. District Court in Boston on Aug. 31.

In April, investigators said, Miller was charged, along with others, with possession of heroin with the intent to distribute.

Police said they surrounded a South Yarmouth home where investigators believed Miller was staying. When police ordered him to exit the home, Miller, who was disguised as an elderly man, walked outside.

At that point, investigators said, police pulled off Miller’s realistic disguise and arrested him.

A search of the home revealed two loaded weapons hidden in a laundry basket and nearly $30,000.

U.S. Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz, the Boston division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, Barnstable police and Yarmouth police all worked together to capture Miller.

Miller’s case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Rosen, of U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz’s Narcotics and Money Laundering Unit.
