A man ended up destroying his own home by cutting down his neighbor’s tree because it was ruining his car, according to police in Pennsylvania.
Luzerne County police said that they have arrested 51-year-old Raymond Mazzarella, for beating his neighbor with a baseball bat after cutting down his neighbor’s tree, which ended up falling on his own home.
Mazzarella has been charged with assault and harassment. He was booked into the Luzerne County jail, and his bail was set at $10,000.
According to the police investigation, Mazzarella took a chainsaw and cut a tree in his neighbor’s yard on Saturday afternoon.
Mazzarella complained that the tree’s branches were over his car, and ruined it. When he cut the tree, it fell on a part of his own apartment building.
Officials of the Department of Buildings, condemned the home and the residents were evacuated because the foundation shifted.
Mazzarella was taken to a hospital. After he was released, he confronted a neighbor and punched him. The neighbor pulled a stun gun to protect himself.
In response, Mazzarella hit him with a baseball bat.
