The long dispute between Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano and
his predecessor, Peter Obi has finally ended. The reconciliation took
place at the funeral mass of late former first African Principal of
Christ the King College, (CKC) Onitsha, Rev. Fr. Nicholas Chukwuemeka
Tagbo.
Obiano displayed a rare sense of humility by apologizing to his
predecessor. According to the Special Assistant to the Governor, Ifeanyi
Aniagoh, the Governor while delivering an eulogy on the late principal,
turned to Peter Obi and asked him for forgiveness.
He said:
“May I use this opportunity that Fr. Tagbo is here to ask my brother and
friend, Chief Peter Obi if there is any wrong that I have done to you
please forgive”
Responding to Obiano’s olive branch, Obi said that as a Christian, he
was under obligation to forgive whenever there was cause to He pledged
his total support to the administration in its efforts to build a better
Anambra for the younger generation.
Maja Umeh prayed, blessed them and declared:
“Going on now…Total reconciliation of Gov. Obiano and Peter Obi”
