Looks like Dwayne Johnson’s upcoming Jumanji reboot may not be a reboot after all.

After wrapping Fast 8 this weekend, The Rock penned a long Instagram post about his upcoming plans  — particularly the new Jumanji movie with Kevin Hart and Jack Black, which he’ll be starting production on in two weeks. Johnson also took some time to clear up exactly how the new movie will relate to the original 1995 version, emphasizing that it’s a sequel, not a reboot.

“For the record we are NOT making a reboot, but rather a continuation of the awesome Jumanji story,” he added.

Back in May, Johnson had hinted that his new version would be tied in some way to the 1995 classic, saying that the new Jumanji would honor Robin Williams’ character Alan Parrish “in an earnest and cool way.” At the time, he called the new Jumanji a “new re-imagining of this amazing story,” based on Chris Van Allsburg’s original children’s book.

Hart, Black, and Johnson are all on board, and Nick Jonas is also in talks to join the cast. Jake Kasdan (who previously directed Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story and Bad Teacher) is helming the new Jumanji, which is set to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
