A couple was arrested for throwing stones at each other in public.
Even though the woman admitted to police that she began the rock throwing fight, the man was charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon and domestic abuse, while the woman was charged only with domestic abuse and battery.
Police in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, were called about a disturbance in the 2500 block of South Washington Boulevard.
A witness called police at about 11:30 a.m., to report that Deauntre Spirlin, 27, and his girlfriend, Jenna Thornbrugh, 20, were fighting.
Police confronted the couple, and they confirmed that they got into a rock throwing match.
Thornbrugh admitted to police that she first threw a rock at her boyfriend after he refused to come back to her car, but she did not aim well and missed.
However, he told police that the rock hit him just above the left eye.
According to the police report, Thornbrugh said that as she walked away, Spirlin picked up the same rock and threw it back at her, hitting her in the back of the head.
They were both arrested.
