Police on Thursday, July 7 arrested a Nigerian man identified as Ukwuani
Ogochukwu and his Thai girlfriend, Samorn Sutthakaew, 31, on possession
of 200g of drugs in Pattaya, Thailand.
Pattaya Police Patrol had spotted a white Toyota Altis pulling over in
Thepprasit Road. The officers watched as the passenger opened the window
and threw out a snack bag.
Although it looked like a regular litter drop the
officers noticed the bag was sealed with transparent tape and on
investigating, found two bags of Ice weighing approximately two-hundred
grams.
The officers alerted other cops who then created a road block. The
Toyota was caught at the red lights of Thepprasit and Sukhumvit. The
driver turned out to be Ogochukwu, who was with his Thai girlfriend,
Sutthakaew, and their one-year old baby. Both denied being drug dealers
but failed to convince officers.
They were taken to Pattaya Police Station for further interrogation.
