Police were shocked to discover a murder-suicide when they came to a
home to notify a woman that her husband committed suicide by walking
into traffic, police in Delaware said.
Dover police said that on Monday around 2:00 a.m., 36-year-old Pierre Rubens Volcy walked into traffic.
He died of his injuries at the scene. Around 9:30 a.m., officers went to
Volcyโs home to notify his wife about the death of her husband.
The officers walked into the home, and they found 25-year-old Wislene Volcy Deborne unresponsive in the back of the apartment.
She was declared dead at the scene. Police found the coupleโs 2-year-old
child. The child was taken to the Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, and
was in good health.
The boy was handed over to the custody of Division of Family Services.
Investigators believe that the husband killed his wife and then
committed suicide by walking into traffic.
Neighbors described the couple as a normal family, and reported that they went to church every Sunday.
