Over the weekend, Tianjin held a special kind of bikini contest, open to only women of a certain age.
500 middle-aged and elderly beauties signed up to strut their stuff
on Saturday at the swimwear show. According to NetEase, the oldest
contestant was 80 years old.
One woman showed off her figure in an outfit designed to make her
look like a golden swan, which doesn’t seem all that practical for
actually swimming, but looks beautiful nonetheless.
The competition is held in Tianjin each summer.
It is jointly hosted by the senior citizens’ committee and the Hetong
Charitable Foundation for the Elderly and aimed at providing a platform
for China’s over-60s to express themselves, promoting a healthy and
positive lifestyle.
We will have to wait and see if any of these women enter China’s Miss Bikini Global contest this year. While you might think that they wouldn’t stand much of a chance, you should know that one hot mama won this year’s 6th Annual International Breast Model Contest. True beauty never ages.
Hopefully this contest never starts up in Nigeria though.
