A father fired his son from his restaurant after he offended a customer.
The father also banned his son from coming on the property of his business after getting backlash for offending the customer.
The owner of All Stars Bar and Grill restaurant in Rhode Island, fired
his son from the family business after the teenager labeled a customer
as โfatty” on the man’s receipt.
Dillon Arnold said that he was eating with friends at the restaurant,
and when he received the bill at the end of the evening, he was offended
when he saw that the waiter wrote โfattyโ instead of his name.
Arnold posted a photo of his receipt to Facebook, where it went viral.
After suffering backlash, the ower, Antonio Ambrosio, learned that his
18-year-old son Tony Ambrosio, was behind the offensive receipt.
The owner publicly apologized to Arnold, and offered him a $50 gift
certificate to the restaurant, and he said that his son will not be at
the restaurant as he was fired over his actions.
Ambrosio said that aside from being fired, his son is no longer allowed on the restaurantโs property.
Tony also apologized on Facebook, where he wrote: โWhat I did was
immature, and I acted without thinking about the consequences. I acted
in a way that was rude, childish, and totally inappropriate. Due to my
actions, I was terminated, rightly so.
โI would like you to know that I was not raised that way. I hope you
don’t judge All Stars or its employees based solely on my actions.โ
