11 family members were killed when a rapist was released from jail after being convicted of rape. Police in Mexico, said that two men attacked the family members as
revenge for going to police to report the rape, causing the rapist to go
to jail.
The main suspect is a man who raped the woman nine years ago, and got her pregnant.
At that time, he threatened to kill all members of the Sanchez-Hernandez family of Puebla, if they reported the crime.
However, the family decided to go to police. The suspect was arrested
and found guilty of rape. The man became very angry when he was placed
behind bars.
When he was released from prison, the suspect returned to San Jose el Mirador, to take revenge against the family.
The rape victim and 10 family members including children, were killed. Five people were injured, but survived.
The only family member who was unharmed was a 9-year-old boy who was
born from the sexual assault. This led police to believe that the
child’s father is responsible for the deaths.
Police are now looking for the suspect who fled from the scene.
