A woman was shot with a crossbow just 9 days after getting married. 40-year-old Paul Kuzan of Pennsylvania, married the love of his life, Pamela Nightlinger, 42.
However, just nine days later, Kuzan killed his new wife by shooting her
with a crossbow that is used to hunt bears, police in Philadelphia
said.

A neighbor said that Kazan was standing at the doorway of his home without any clothes on at around 9:30 p.m.

The neighbor also said that Nightlinger, came to the door in a bath robe
and told him that her husband was acting strange because he forgot to
take his medication.

Shortly thereafter, the woman ran to her neighbor’s home seeking help.
She was bleeding heavily from the chest and she collapsed.

Police said that Kazan shot his wife with the crossbow.

“The arrow went through her body, through the chair, and got stuck into the wall,” Homicide Capt. James Clark said.

The woman was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She
left behind two daughters, who are 13 and 16 years old, from a previous
marriage.

Kazan, who was arrested on charges of murder, also has two children from a previous marriage.

Although Nightlinger did not yet legally change her name to Kuzan, she
did so on Facebook, where she announced that she got married.

Many people congratulated her on the marriage.

ODonnell Griffin Kelly wrote: “Did you guys really get married? About time. It’s always was meant to be.”

“Woo-hoo! Congrats! May you be blessed with years of luv & happiness!” Claire Fields Doroshenko wrote.

Daniel Ferry wrote: “I’m happy for both of you, I wish you both the
best. It will be better than my marriage because you guys are made for
each other.”
