A father flew who into a rage after his wife refused to buy beer, killed
his son before police fatally shot him in his home, according to police
in Florida.
Pinellas Park Police said that 59-year-old Waldemar Bogusiewicz, was
shot by police after fatally shooting his son, 25-year-old Adrian
Bogusiewicz, following a fight with his wife, 58-year-old Irena
Bogusiewicz.
The incident unfolded on Saturday around 9:00 p.m., at the familyโs home
at 6082 96th Terrace, during an argument about who was going to buy
more beer.
Irena told investigators that during the fight, Adrian came out of his
room to see what the screaming was all about. Irena then left the
residence to call the police, leaving her son and her husband alone in
the house.
Sometime after she left the house and before the police arrived, the
dispute intensified. Waldemar then shot his son several times in his
bedroom.
Two officers entered the house to investigate, but Waldemar started
yelling at them to leave. Irena told officers Michael Jasiukiewicz and
Jeremy Copeland that her husband was armed.
Waldemar then fired at the police, and they shot back.
Waldemar was taken to the Northside Hospital, where he died.
Adrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Irena and the officers were not
injured during the incident. Jasiukiewicz and Copeland have been placed
on administrative leave.
