Baseline Music is fast becoming a home to Nigeria’s finest entertainers. Quintessential musician, Aramide, last week became the newest artiste to sign under music label Baseline Music; home to sensational Pop artiste Saeon, and multi talented musician Skales, and Producer Mr. Chido. Her remix of Davido’s Ekuro became her claim to fame and made her a bonafide performer.
Speaking with Showtime, Aramide explains how Davido’s Ekuro gave her the leverage she needed to make her inroad into the mainstream music scene. “The song has a beautiful melody and is very well written.
I remember first hearing the song and wishing I was the one that wrote the song. That is how much I loved the song at that time. I am glad I did it, because that was what sort of gave me a voice in the industry,” she says.
“A lot of burdens have been taken off my shoulder to allow me focus more on the creative side of my music after signing to Baseline.
My genre of music is not going to change but I am hoping to learn more from the team to deliver great music to my fans. I am also aiming for the international market. I intend to make my mark in the industry by making evergreen music, music that people will still want to listen to 20 years from now,” she added
