Europe is on fire as two Nigerian comedians, Otas I Go Save and Klint Da Drunk, are currently on tour of the continent.
In an online chat with Matinee, Sapele, Delta State-born comedian who has toured six countries so far opened up on the journey, declaring that he will never retire from comedy.
โI give God who oversees and guides my steps to the right path all the glory. Thereโs no retirement age in comedy, so I will never retire. It is not like music or football where you are limited; and thatโs why you still find the likes of Steve Harvey in the trade.
โPresently, Iโm on a European tour doing what I enjoy doing best. The idea is to get close to my fans in this part of the world and we are targeting Africans especially Nigerians. Itโs not been easy though catching up with flights from one country to the other or hopping from one city to the other. Itโs been a litany of long road trips and most times, short sleep time but trust me, itโs been fun because I am working with one of the best teams in the world.โ
According to the rib cracker, so far itโs been a celebration of success as far as the tour is concerned and the tour has also revealed new things about his fellow comedian, I Go Save.
โThe shows have been very successful and all praise goes to God Almighty. Most of the shows sold out two days before they were held. We were in Antwerp, Belgium, where the Nigerian ambassador graced the show. We have been to Germany, Czech Republic, Holland, Switzerland, Austria and Spain. We are still going to storm Hungary, France among others.
