Unknown gunmen on Thursday morning attacked an Army camp manned by six armed soldiers at Wunti -Dada, a suburb of Bauchi the state capital.
One of the soldiers, a sergeant and commander of the camp was killed while a private sustained gunshot on his leg.
It was learnt that one of the attackers was shot and killed,but others who came on two Bajal motorcycles ran away when other soldiers opened fire.
The attack occurred at about 5:20am, minutes after the Muslim first prayer of the day.
Our source informed that the soldiers were taken unawares adding that โI was afraid and did not get very close to the camp,but I think some soldiers might have been injured tooโ.
Wunti-Dada has been one of the known security challenge points within the state capital with a lot of unusual incidents.

Guns and a lot of ammunitions including improvised explosives divices were discovered in their rooms.
