A one-storey building belonging to a church – Christ Chosen Church of God, recently collapsed in Uzama Street, Uzebu quarters in Egor local government area of Edo State leaving one dead.

According to reports, residents were angered by the church’s attitude towards the incident as officials refused to call for rescue operations hours after the collapse.

Residents blamed the church for using individuals to destroy the building instead of hiring a bulldozer.

Officials of the church reportedly ran away after the building came down.

The building was said to have served as offices and residential building for the church officials.
