Police arrest armed robbers, smash ‘419’ syndicate in Bauchi

Bauchi state Police has arrested armed robbery suspects and busted a 419 syndicate.
  
According
to the Police command’s spokesperson,SP Haruna Mohammed,the robbery
suspects were arrested in Toro Local Government Area with a Peugeot 607
and a BMW car were recovered from them.
He
said that the gang numbering about 10 stormed the resident of one
Mohammed Dan Azumi Abdulrahaman (Ubandoma) of Magama Gumau in Toro LGA
of Bauchi State.
“Suspects
disarmed two private Security guards in the house and robbed the
complainant of his Peugeot 607 Motor vehicle and other valuable items.

Haruna said that discreet investigation led to the arrest of three
suspects and recovery the stolen Peugeot 607 including the BMW Car used
in committing the crime.
  
He
gave the names of the suspects as Saleh Ahmed Bichi alias Saleh Toro,
Musa Ali Jaguar of Magama town, Abdulazeez Gambo also of Magama town.
  
In
a related development, the police spokesperson said the command has
also arrested two members of an advanced fee fraud  syndicate that
specializes in printing fake currencies.
  
He
said that the police acting on intelligence report smashed the 419
Syndicate who cheat their victims under false pretence and printing fake
local and foreign currencies.
โ€ŽAccording
to him,pieces of suspected counterfeit currencies which include 138
pieces of100 American Dollar, 106 pieces of 1000 Naira notes, One Saudi
Riyal and One N500 note were found with them.

Haruna added that substance suspected to be Mercury  and a bottle
containing charms and other incriminating items were recovered from the
suspects.
  
He said all the cases are under investigation after which suspects will be charged to court for prosecution.
