An elderly man was arrested on a charge of molestation for allegedly
groping the thighs of a young police officer who fell asleep next to him
on a train, according to police in Japan.
Yokosuka police said that they have arrested 68-year-old Takahiro
Yamada, after being accused of touching the thighs of the 27-year-old
police officer.
Yamada was charged with one count of molestation. According to the
police investigation, the incident unfolded on Sunday around 7:00 a.m.
The woman was traveling on the Keikyu Line train bound for the Shioiri
Station, when she fell asleep next to Yamada. When Yamada noticed that
the woman is sleeping, he began squeezing the thighs of the victim.
The woman woke up and grabbed the hand of the suspect. She then held him
down by twisting his arm until other police officers arrived at the
scene and arrested him.
