While lots of newlywed couples pose for pictures to show off their love prior to their special day, how will their relationship hold up after 80 years?
Song Qinglin and his wife Song Lishi, both 103 years old, have been together now for eight decades. Tencent reports
that the couple has four children. Of course, those children have had
their own children, and then those children have also had children of
their own. Four generations all live together under one roof in Fuyang
city, Anhui province.
To help the two lovebirds celebrate their 80th wedding anniversary,
some good Samaritans from a local volunteer center helped to buy them a
wedding dress and gifts. Back in 1936, the couple couldn’t afford to get
any pictures taken. Their wedding banquet was a mere three dishes.
One volunteer helped grandma Song apply some rose lipstick.
And she in turn helped her hubby button up his dress shirt.
