Police in the United Kingdom, released a video of a thief busting dance moves.
Police in Birmingham, said that the car thief “couldn’t contain his
delight at finding £50 ($65) in a wallet he stole from a parked car, and
he pulled some dance moves in celebration.”
Police released surveillance video, showing the 31-year-old Kamayi
Matumona dancing in the street after pocketing cash from a wallet, which
he stole from a vehicle in Laxey Road in Edgbaston.
However, his happiness was short lived as he was arrested a few days
later in his home in Handsworth, when a West Midlands Police officer
recognized him from the video.
“He may have felt like dancing at the time, but he looked pretty
miserable when we knocked on his door to arrest him,” police said.
Matumona, who is unemployed and according to police has a criminal track
record of theft, shoplifting, criminal damage and vehicle interference,
was arrested.
He pleaded guilty to theft and was sentenced to serve 22 weeks in prison.
