A man’s language barrier caused him a great headache when he landed in a refugee camp.

The man of China, was on a tour in Europe, and during his trip, he ended up in a refugee camp for 12 days because of miscommunication.

The 31-year-old backpacker who was identified as Lu, lost his wallet during the trip in Germany, and he decided to report it to the police.

However, he accidentally went to the consulate, thinking it was the police station.

Lu just wanted to file a report about his missing wallet, but he does not speak German or English. With the help of workers, Lu filed an application for asylum, and was taken to a refugee camp 250 miles away.

When he arrived at the camp, he had a medical checkup and his fingerprints were taken. He was then handed pocket money, and he was taken to the place that became his home for the next 12 days.

German Red Cross worker Christoph Schlutermann, was the first to realize that the man seemed quite out of place. He was very well dressed and he kept asking for his passport back, which most refugees do not do.

After seeking the advice of a nearby Chinese restaurant owner, they finally discovered that he was a tourist who wanted to continue on his trip.

After dealing with a lot of red tape, Lu was finally released from the camp after 12 days.
