A man was arrested on a charge of battery after allegedly punching his wife in the face because she made him pork chops for dinner, according to police in Florida.
Fort Pierce police said that they have arrested 46-year-old William Welch, after assaulting his extremely intoxicated wife because he wanted chicken instead of pork chops for dinner.
In court, Welch pleaded not guilty to battery and possession of marijuana.
According to the criminal complaint, Welch was arguing with his wife at their home on Saturday, because she kept cooking him pork chops but he wanted chicken for dinner.
Welch then punched his wife in the face.
Police officers who arrived at the scene, said that the woman was extremely intoxicated and could not complete her statement to the police.
