A man was arrested on a charge of rape after allegedly raping his mother in middle of the night, according to police in Singapore.
The man, who was not identified, was charged with rape, molestation and aggravated molestation.
In court, the 33-year-old son admitted that he lifted his mother’s skirt because he wanted to see her private parts, but he denied raping her.
According to the criminal complaint, the suspect came home 2:30 a.m., after a night of drinking. He went into the 56-year-old woman’s bedroom and undressed her.
He then raped her. The mother woke up during the attack, and asked her son what he was doing. He ignored her and then went to bed.
The suspect told police that his mother and stepfather had conspired to accuse him of rape in an attempt to make him move out of their home forever.
The man claimed that his mother hated him because he often returned home drunk, was rude to his stepfather, played music loudly and intruded into their private lives.
However, the mother denied the allegations, saying that she invited her son to come live with them.
