A mother was devastated after police brought her son home from school and warned him that he will be arrested if he returned.
8-year-old Peyton Whitehead of Missouri, was served with the restraining order by a deputy while he was at the Hillsboro Elementary school.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department informed his mother that a judge signed the restraining order against her son after his classmate said that Whitehead threatened him and his siblings.
The boy was ordered to stay 1,000 feet away from the children.
The police officer also said that if he goes anywhere near the โvictimsโโ home, then he will be arrested and placed in a juvenile detention center.
Whiteheadโs mother said that the classmate, who filed for the restraining order, lives just a few houses away from them so her son has to stay home for fear that the neighbor might be outside and have him arrested.
The โvictimsโโ father said that he was surprised when the judge sided with him and agreed to sign the order of protection against the third grader, but as a father, he felt that he had to take action to protect his children after Whitehead threatened to hurt them.
Both sets of parents have admitted that they have been feuding in recent months.
