Two men were arrested on a charge of drug trafficking after hiding thousands of dollars worth of meth inside tortillas, according to police in Arizona.

Customs and Border Protection officers arrested the two men involved in separate weekend attempts to sneak approximately $87,000 worth of methamphetamine through the Port of Nogales.

Officers at the Dennis DeConcini crossing seized nearly $78,000 worth of meth, close to 26 pounds, on Saturday, from a 23-year-old male U.S. citizen residing in Santana, Sonora, Mexico, after finding the drugs in his Chevy SUV.

On Friday, officers working with a CBP narcotics-detection canine at the Morley Pedestrian crossing found almost 3 pounds of meth in packages of tortillas carried by a 62-year-old man from Nogales, Arizona.

Officers seized all the drugs along with the vehicle involved, and turned the subjects over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcementโ€™s Homeland Security Investigations.
