A teenager in the United Kingdom, received a fine after being caught feeding a bird a French fry.
19-year-old Lauren-Paige Smith of Swansea, said that on Friday around 1:30 p.m., she bought a meal at McDonald’s.
As she was eating, a bird came next to her. Smith decided to feed it a French fry. A government worker watched her, and decided to give her a ticket for littering.
Smith became angry as the bird ate the entire fry and did not drop anything on the floor. The council worker, who was not identified, gave her a 25 pound ($31) fine.
Smith refused to pay the fine and was dragged to court, where she is facing a fine of up to 100 pounds ($124). Smith expressed her anger on Facebook.
โAs if Swansea is trying to make me go to court over feeding a bird a f***ing McDonaldโs chip. Hardly littering when there was nothing left on the floor, you wouldnโt fine people at Roath Park feeding birds so f**k off trying to make me pay fines then taking me to court, lividddd,โ Smith wrote on Facebook.
