Imo State Governor has come to the rescue of Imo Transportation Company as he inaugurates the Interim management Board of the Company, a first step in the resuscitation of the Company.
According to Governor Hope Uzodimma, the Imo State Transportation Company (ITC) for years has been in a sorry state as “Past managements not only enriched themselves but set up parallel companies using assets and finances belonging to ITC, abandoning the vision behind its creation”.
“Our Administration is a proponent of servant leadership, I am confident that the new interim management board will do well”. Uzodimma assured NDI-IMO
Gov. Uzodimma during the inauguration, mandated the Board to recover all stolen properties belonging to ITC; Rehabilitate all abandoned structures of the company; Recover all ITC parks all over the country; Retire all criminals in the parks and restore the lost glory of the Imo Transport Company.
On his part, the Chairman of the board Mr. Onyekachi Ibezim on behalf of every other board member assured the Governor of their commitment to on the strength of the 3R mantra returns the Imo Transport Company to its pride of place in the comity of State Transport companies.
The eight-member Committee who was inaugurated by the Governor includes Mr. Onyekachi Ibezim (Chairman), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kazeem Adefisoye, Mr. Chibuzor Nwoke, Chief Emmanuel Ndukwe, Mr. Nwogu Emeka Mathew.
Others are Mr. Kenneth Nwachukwu, Princess Chioma Okafor and Mr. Vitalis Ugochukwu.
