The pursuit of excellence in education is very much on course as the shared Prosperity Administration has been on massive and diverse moves to bring the dividends of Democracy to Children in Imo State in area of quality education, which is their right.
The Government of Imo State led by the 3R Initiator, Senator Hope Uzodimma, is presently constructing ultra-modern 305 primary schools in the 305 wards in the state.
The data and technology driven administration of Senator Hope Uzodimma, mindful of the computer age and timing of the century, have embarked on an aggressive and all-inclusive re-engineering of the secondary schools to bring them up to speed with the internet age and enhance the performance of the students in external examinations.
The Universities in Imo State were not left out in the digitalization of the education sector as Imo State University (IMSU) has been infused with new digital oxygen to enable it to compete favourably with its peers in academic excellence.
Inline with the drive to impart skills on Imo youths, another university to take care of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences was established which is the University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.
It is also with excitement that Governor Uzodimma disclosed that the trajectory of the newly renamed K.O. Mbadiwe University, Ogboko, will be unveiled to further consolidate on the drive for Imo State to become the center of academic excellence in the country.
The realization that the future lies actually in the progress of the youths has propelled the Shared Prosperity Administration led by Senator Hope Uzodimma, to embark on an ambitious skill acquisition program ever witnessed in the state. As no fewer than 500,000 youths are billed to benefit from the multi-billion Naira youth intervention fund specifically budgeted for the empowerment of Imo youths through skills acquisition.
In Imo State under this performing administration of Senator Hope Uzodimma, more than 10,000 youths have been trained and are currently being empowered.
“I am sure that in the coming weeks, many more youths would access the fund to enable them to be self-reliant and employers of labour, as well. ” Uzodimma stated.
It is to say that those keenly observing the performance of the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma especially on the Education Sector, can beat their chest that he has laid an indisputable foundation as Imo Children and youths are on their way to high educational performance with profitable skill acquisitions. Imo State is indeed on the Cruise to excellence.
