He stated this when he received a delegation from the Ahmadu Bello University led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Kabir Bala at the Commission`s headquarters in Jabi, Abuja.
The EFCC and ABU had in 2020 signed an MoU on training, with both committing to partner in the design and running of specialized programmes in areas relevant to the work of the Commission, including anti-corruption studies, forensic accounting, cybercrime investigation and digital forensics.
However, the implementation of the MoU was stalled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Speaking during the visit, Prof. Bala said one of the reasons for their presence in EFCC, was โto discuss the modalities for the commencement and implementation of the MoU, as it is of benefit to both institutions and the country at largeโ.
In his response, Bawa expressed excitement about the initiative. He, however, observed that there was need for a robust and specialized curriculum, carefully vetted with logical sequencing to adequately meet the needs of the Commission.
He however assured the team of EFCC`s readiness for the implementation of the MoU without further delay.
