The Cyprus Turkish Teachers’ Union (KTÖS) stated that AKP officials “have made it a habit to attack Cypriot politicians, academics, journalists, trade unionists and intellectuals with cynical rhetoric”.
Defending that the Turkish Cypriot community is isolated under the name of equal sovereignty, Maviş claimed that the Turkish Cypriots are excluded from the international arena and are silenced day by day, even on their own lands.
Mavis said, what Doğuş Derya expresses is the realities of this society that was driven into extinction. We will not be afraid of attacks.
We will not bow down. We will continue to fight shoulder to shoulder on the path of peace, solution and federation.”
