Nigerian politician and businessman Ned Nwoko has publicly accused his wife, actress Regina Daniels, of violent behavior and substance abuse, in a statement that has sparked widespread concern and controversy.
In a post titled โReginaโs Unprovoked Carnage and Rampage in My House and in My Absence,โ Nwoko claimed that Danielsโ alleged struggle with drugs and alcohol is at the heart of escalating tensions in their household. He asserted that she had physically assaulted three staff members and damaged property, including vehicles and windows, within a 48-hour period.
โRegina was not always like this,โ Nwoko wrote. โHer current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety.โ
The billionaire further alleged that Daniels had refused to accept his proposed rehabilitation options in Asokoro or abroad, particularly in Jordan, where he claims she would have limited access to narcotics. He also accused her of threatening a resident nurse who, according to Nwoko, had exposed her alleged drug use.
While Nwoko stated he was away taking their son Moon to the hospital, he described the home as descending into chaos, blaming the disruption on individuals he identified as Danielsโ alleged drug suppliers.
The statement has raised serious questions about the nature of the coupleโs relationship and the appropriateness of airing such personal and potentially defamatory claims in public. Critics have pointed out that Nwokoโs remarks, which include unverified accusations and inflammatory language, risk undermining Danielsโ privacy and dignity, especially given her public profile and the sensitive nature of the allegations.
Legal experts and domestic violence advocates have urged caution, emphasizing that such disputes should be handled through appropriate legal and medical channels rather than social media.
