Beatrice Ekweremadu, wife of ex-Deputy Senate President has been released

Beatrice Ekweremadu, the spouse of ex-Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, has been freed from a prison in the United Kingdom.

The Ekweremadus, along with Dr. Obinna Obeta, faced sentencing in a UK court for their involvement in an organ harvesting scheme.

An anonymous source revealed that Beatrice, who received a five-year sentence, returned to Nigeria on Tuesday and resides in Abuja.
